Introduction to the Conscious Therapist: This 4 hour introductory workshop was offered in collaboration with the Brain Injury Association of America’s Neuro Rehab Leadership Summit held in Charleston South Carolina on January 22, 2025. Clinical and business leaders from rehab providers across the country were introduced to the core concepts of the Conscious Therapist with plans for extension to the full 2 day workshop through virtual sessions in 2026.

The Conscious Therapist: Mindfulness Applied workshop was held April 14-15, 2023, in downtown Greenville, South Carolina. It included professionals in various roles in neurorehabilitation including Neuropsychology, Nursing, Speech Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Case Management, Vocational Specialists, Rehab Counselors, and Child Development Specialists, among others. 

The Conscious Therapist: Mindfulness Applied workshop was held in Greenville’s Unity Park November 3-4, 2023. It included professionals in various roles in neurorehabilitation including Neuropsychology, Speech Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Recreational Therapy, Case Management, Vocational Specialists, and Rehab Counselors, among others.

The Conscious Therapist Workshop: Mindfulness Applied included professionals in various roles in neurorehabilitation including Neuropsychology, Nursing, Speech Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Case Management. 

The two day workshop addressed topics such as the Conscious Therapist model, mindfulness and emotional intelligence, the importance of why and how we do rehab, as well as the neuroscience behind it all. This workshop laid the foundation for its participants to begin a journey of significant personal and professional growth.

Inaugural Class, October 2017

The inaugural class of the Brain Injury Leadership Academy included 20 professionals in various roles in neurorehabilitation from the US and Canada.  Participants’ leadership roles within their organizations range from staff level service providers to Director level roles with backgrounds in Neuropsychology, Nursing, Speech Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Recreational Therapy, and Counseling. 

The two and a half day workshop, Brain Injury Leadership Development:  Foundation and Application, launched in Fall 2017.  The workshop continued their journey into becoming Conscious Leaders throughout the year with ongoing mentoring sessions, assignments, self-reflections and additional opportunities to apply these principles into practice at their workplaces.
